Obama attempts to win the masses to support Trump; the crisis of imperialism deepens

WASHINTON D.C.––U.S. president Barack Obama gave a speech at the White House the day after Donald Trump was elected as president of the U.S. on November 9, 2016.

The purpose of his speech was to carry out the myth of U.S. democracy and ensure a peaceful transferring of State power.

This peaceful transition of power is imperialism’s only chance at maintaining a shred of control over the masses of African working class people. This was made clear when Obama stated, “the peaceful transition of power is one of the hallmarks of our democracy.”

He blatantly declared his loyalty to white nationalism as opposed to any type of principles in this speech, telling the press that “everybody is sad when their side loses an election but the day after, we have to remember that we are all on one team.”

He went on saying “we are Americans first. We’re patriots first.”

Trump’s election occurred as a result of the deepening crisis of imperialism. The lack of confidence in the U.S. government that caused the white working class to rally behind an outsider and many Africans to reject both candidates.

Country-wide protests against the election results broke out immediately after they were announced.

Obama’s speech was an attempt at damage control to convince people that U.S. imperialism isn’t the most vulnerable it’s ever been.

Obama switches position on Trump

In his speech, Obama stated that he was heartened by Trump’s speech after the election. He now believes that Trump wants what’s best for the country.

This is a stark difference from what Obama had to say about Trump before the election. He said on many occasions that Donald Trump was not fit in any way, shape or form to be president. He even made the statement that he could only imagine Trump as president in a Saturday Night Live skit.

Obama’s tune has now changed as he tries to convince the masses that Trump has transformed into someone that we should place our confidence in.

Obama: Neocolonialist in chief

Barack Obama is a neocolonialist, a representative of white power in black face who has no interest in the freedom, independence and self-determination of African people. He only serves to fool and manipulate the African masses into complicity with our own oppression. This has been the case for the past eight years.

His goal is to uphold the oppressive Colonial State, which is why he can openly support and campaign for Democrat Hillary Clinton and now republican Donald Trump. Both Trump and Clinton are two sides of the same imperialist coin.

We must understand that as African people, we have not lost or gained anything as a result of  Donald Trump’s election.

He is not our president to accept nor reject. We must reject the entire U.S. government as illegitimate.

We must struggle for black self-determination and the ability to govern ourselves.
